Taylor Kuczek, 31
Senior Global Marketing Communications Specialist
nVent
Taylor has been in the communications or marketing industry for more than 10 years, with a majority of that time spent in B2B manufacturing. “After spending most of the pandemic working in internal and employee communications, I was ready to pivot to an external focus and return to marketing,” she explained. “I had heard of the fantastic culture at nVent thanks to previous connections in my network and decided to jump in with both feet when the opportunity presented itself. While I had worked in B2B manufacturing previously, electrical manufacturing was different and seemed to align more closely with some of my values—sustainability, innovation, and connection.”
Taylor joined nVent as a marketing communications specialist in early 2021. She was promoted in 2023 to oversee a global marketing communications team that supports the company’s fastening brands—nVent CADDY and nVent LENTON—as part of the Electrical & Fastening segment.
“In my role, I’m focused on sharing the message of electrification while educating our market on sustainable alternatives and promoting innovative products and solutions,” she said. “As our society moves toward more electric-powered energy solutions, I find there has been an uptick in interest for products serving the datacom, solar, energy storage, and e-mobility space, and predict this will only increase over the coming years. For me, this means finding more ways to highlight the important features of these solutions while promoting the benefits of choosing sustainable and electrical options.”
Asked about a challenge the industry is currently facing, Taylor pointed to the trend toward digitization. “There is a need for the construction of data centers and protecting those that already exist today,” she said. “I envision the use of AI—both in and outside of work—will be commonplace in our daily lives well before the next five years, which ultimately will require more high-performance equipment, data storage, and reliable electrical protection to apply this technology at scale. I’m finding that not only has AI made its way into my daily workflow in marketing, but also it has become a frequently requested topic from our customers and partners given the numerous solutions nVent offers in this space.”
Taylor explained that her current goal is not focused on role advancement or expansion, but rather on further developing her leadership skills and helping others with their career journeys. “I truly enjoy the benefits mentorship provides and I’m a service-oriented person, so this fulfills my need to ‘give back’ while mutually benefiting our company and the next generation in the workforce,” she said. “I’ve been so fortunate to have a wide array of professional experiences in corporate, agency, and academic environments which has ultimately put me in a unique position to coach and counsel others regardless of their current role. Currently, I manage my global team’s development daily, participate in two separate mentorship programs, receive external management coaching, and sponsor a new employee one-on-one.”
What would Taylor tell someone new to the industry? “I think the generation entering the workforce today actively seeks opportunities allowing them to make a clear impact with their work, whether that be on our planet and the environment or society as a whole,” she explained. “I’ve personally found working in electrification makes it easy to find value in my work—from sustainability to safety, and even digitalization. For those actively seeking an impactful career, I would consider the electrical industry at the forefront of a monumental shift in the way we work, both now and in the future.”
Taylor is a mom to a “bright, busy toddler”—and has another baby on the way. “I am married to my high school sweetheart of 14 years, so my interests and hobbies have shifted quite a bit over the years to focusing more on cultivating my family,” she said. “Outside the home, I’m active in my church community and enjoy camping and exploring the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and wine tasting with my husband. I’m always interested in expanding my knowledge of holistic health, nontoxic alternatives, and homesteading.”
