McNaughton McKay Group
SPARC Intranet
The McNaughton-McKay Electric organization consists of four brands (Canif, Flow-Zone, McNaughton-McKay, and The Reynolds Company), but only one had an intranet.
Tasked with creating a way to communicate more efficiently, bring people together, and provide swift access to essential business tools and information, the marketing team created an intranet to act as an informational hub between all of the brands and departments and provide an easy way for employee-owners to communicate and collaborate together.
Development included a “coming soon” email, employee naming contest, promotional video, and mobile app option.
The judges loved the video announcement, calling it “very natural and engaging.” They also liked the mobile device option, noting, “Recognizing that many employees are on the warehouse floor, it’s smart that they made sure that the website would work across multiple devices including mobile.”
Intermatic
Marketing Support and Capabilities Microsite
To help showcase the wide range of creative resources and opportunities for collaboration available to its agency partners, the Intermatic marketing team created a dedicated Marketing Support and Capabilities microsite.
Using HubSpot to develop a publicly accessible but semi-private URL, the team created a lookbookstyle site intended to inspire partners to collaborate with them to develop marketing programs that amplified Intermatic messages and promoted product sales.
Because so many different areas are featured, brevity in copy was stressed and images and videos used to reinforce messages. Direct, active language was incorporated to communicate confidence and urgency, and to keep agents engaged on the site, examples were embedded and iconography/lists used to support the company’s value.
The judges called the site “very user friendly” and noted, “It has a welcoming, friendly, and helpful layout, copy, and overall tone. Distributors should not be intimidated at all by this website.”
Schneider Electric
Digital Marketing Resource Center (DMRC)
Schneider Electric’s DMRC, originally launched in 2019, was upgraded in 2024 to a more robust, automated, and user-friendly platform that integrates cobranded marketing activations, brand resources, generative AI capabilities, and up-to-date product and solution marketing campaigns.
A complementary service to its partners, the DMRC contains content from various Schneider Electric lines of business mainly targeting
contractor, OEM, panel builder, and system integrator audiences. It allows the company to share key focuses for these audiences, packaged into one-click automation and co-branded activation that distributors can quickly source, cobrand with their company information and logo, and deploy or download.
The upgrade required the review of five years of content from the previous platform, with the top campaigns audited, upgraded, added, and re-launched to the new platform.
“This is a great example of how to empower both internal employees and partners to create comprehensive and cohesive campaigns using
shared assets and resources that all fit together nicely,” said the judges.
