Consistent with their 3Q results published in early November, General Cable has entered into an agreement to sell its Indian business, General Cable Pvt. Ltd., to CMI Ltd.
According to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), “CMI Ltd. has informed BSE that the Company on November 16, 2015 has entered into an agreement for acquisition of General Cable Energy India Pvt. Ltd. (a subsidiary of General Cable Corporation, USA, a fortune 500 Company), having manufacturing facilities for cable situated at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.”
A spokesperson for General Cable confirmed this agreement.
