WEST CHESTER, Pa. — Omni Cable, headquartered in West Chester, Pa., collected 1,941 pairs of shoes for Soles4Souls, a nonprofit organization that helps fight poverty by collecting and distributing shoes and clothing.
From August 1 through September 1, 2016, Omni Cable hosted a company-wide shoe drive for Soles4Souls. “When we came across this organization, we liked the idea that they not only help others within the United States but individuals from over 100 other countries as well,” said Christa Callahan, Omni Cable Fitness Manager and shoe drive coordinator.
Omni Cable set a goal of 100 pairs of shoes, which was surpassed during the first few days of the drive. “It is an amazing feeling to know that they are going to people who are really in need,” said Jim Staeger, Omni Cable’s Operations Manager. “I am proud to be part of such a caring group of people that, with a little bit of effort, can make great things happen,” he added.
