ST. LOUIS – Graybar, Textron, Siemens, Emerson, GE, Southwire, Eaton, 3M, Schneider Electric, Rockwell Automation, and Philips, among others, were recently named by Forbes as “America’s Best Employers” for 2018.
“As an employee-owned company, we take great pride in creating a positive work environment where employees can grow and use their talents to contribute to our long-term success,” said Kathleen M. Mazzarella, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Graybar. “Our employees truly set Graybar apart, and our culture inspires a sense of teamwork as we deliver exceptional customer service and give back to the communities where we do business.”
Forbes works with research firm, Statista, to measure leading employers around the globe and determine which companies stand above the competition. To compile the list, Statista surveyed 30,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees. All the surveys were anonymous, allowing participants to openly share their opinions. The respondents were asked to rate, on a scale of zero to 10, how likely they would be to recommend their employer to others.
“Knowing our employees recommend Eaton as a good place to work validates that we are not just saying the right things, we are doing them as well,” said Craig Arnold, Eaton chairman and chief executive officer. “We are honored to have earned a spot on the list.”
