MONTROSE, Colo. — Surrounded by several national parks and conservation areas, Montrose is an important recreational hub in Colorado. The views and outdoor activities are second-to-none, and the town of nearly 20,000 is popular in the outdoor tourist market. Montrose is also known as a major manufacturing hub for outdoor products with several fly-fishing and bow-hunting companies located in town. With plenty of investments in the tourist infrastructure in Montrose and the surrounding area, City Electric Supply can’t wait to see what this new branch does in a growing town.
Branch Manager Domnick Madonia says he is also excited for where the opportunity will take him in Montrose.
“The hikes, the fishing, the views, the snowshoeing, and the snowmobiling, you can do anything you can think of here. It’s all a piece of where I always wanted to go in my life,” Madonia said.
Madonia has been with CES for three years, and he previously worked counter sales at the Denver Central location before becoming branch manager in Montrose.
“The whole process of moving took quite a bit of work and happened so fast. We hadn’t picked a location yet, but I was so eager to get started that I didn’t even have a place to stay when I moved. Luckily, I was able to stay with a branch manager until I got on my feet,” Madonia said. “Once we had a location picked, all of the fun began.”
The staff quickly moved into the location, and knew right away they’d need to replace the electrical. After stripping down all the walls and old carpet, the Montrose team got to work.
“It was a long process, but I am ready to take all the challenges head-on,” Madonia said.
The branch is located conveniently off the main road in Montrose with easy access to U.S. Highway 50. Mostly residential, commercial, and manufacturing market opportunities are available to the Montrose branch, but there are also a few oil and gasoline companies nearby.
“We are here to make a shock in the electrical market in Montrose,” Madonia said. “And to provide supplies for the western slope.”
Madonia is excited to continue working for CES as a branch manager. He’s eager to meet new people, and he enjoys being busy. Working for CES has allowed Madonia constant learning experiences and the opportunity to work with exceptional co-workers. He’s especially excited for the chance to make big-impact decisions with the local autonomy that CES allows their branches.
“It will take dedication and first-rate customer service to make an impact here. As a new branch, it’s important for us to make connections and get to know people. The biggest things will involve getting the customer’s foot in the door and making them happy,” Madonia said. “But I will do whatever I can to make customers want to come back.”
