COTTAGE GROVE, Minn. — In this year of both extreme challenge and celebrating a century in business, Werner Electric continues to grow and bring on new, great talent. The company welcomes Jeff Dutton to the Werner family. Dutton is leading Werner’s talented Operations teams, including Production, Logistics, and all areas of its Distribution Centers.
Dutton’s 30+ years of experience in supply chain positions sets Werner up well as it continues to grow and scale all areas of operations. Dutton is transitioning from a 15-year career in the supply chain at Best Buy, with the last 10 years leading their expansive distribution network support team.
Werner Electric President, Ben Granley stated, “This is a critical position for us. We took our time interviewing candidates and Jeff was absolutely the best. His knowledge and leadership enhance our already strong team and his experience collaborating cross-functionally is a perfect fit.”
Dutton is excited to join the Werner team. “Culture fit is super important to me. Everyone I have met has been fantastic. I am very excited to learn about the industry and to work with folks across the organization. I also look forward to being onsite everyday getting to know the teams. My goal is to lead the Operations team in a way that helps the company grow while continuing the great culture.”
Dutton grew up in the Fargo-Moorhead area and is a graduate of the University of Minnesota. He and his wife of 28 years, Lisa, have two daughters. Tess recently graduated from college and is working in the Boston area. Lily is entering her junior year of college this fall.
In their free time, Dutton and his family enjoy traveling, hiking, biking, trying new restaurants, U of M sports, and remodeling projects on their 102-year-old South Minneapolis home.
