From its inception, Werner Electric Supply has remained steadfast in its devotion to customers, families, communities and its team. Walter Werner laid the foundation of the company on September 13, 1948, when he transformed his modest appliance store and electrical contractor shop in Neenah into what would eventually become a thriving multi-million-dollar distribution operation. His motivation was clear – to provide his people and partners with better pricing and easier access to products.

The journey of Werner Electric has been characterized by continuous progress and an unyielding pursuit of exceptional customer experiences. Walter’s vision led the company to expand, and after his passing in 1961, his son, Lynn, assumed the role of president and CEO, carrying on his father’s legacy. Lynn’s untimely passing in 1984 led to Lynn T. MacDonald, then vice president of sales and marketing, acquiring the company in 1986. MacDonald realized the need for expansion into new territories and markets to ensure the company’s independent distribution status.

Through the years, Werner Electric’s leadership and employees have diligently improved the company’s products and services, fostering a customer-first mindset that continues to thrive under current president Craig Wiedemeier.

Its state-of-the-art regional distribution center in Appleton spans 200,000 square feet, enabling the shipment of over 100,000 products per month with unmatched shipping accuracy.
