As announced a few months ago by Sonepar, Crawford Electric and Irby Electric will merge operations and operate on a combined basis as Crawford. Irby Utilities will remain a stand-alone business and will not be impacted by this change. The merger will become official on December 4th.
What does this mean for you? There will be no disruption in your relationship with your local Irby Electric branch and team. It’s business as usual. While the merger becomes official on December 4th, 2023, some key system and process changes will take effect before then.
WEB EXPERIENCE
New Website Experience
Crawfordelectricsupply.com will be your new web destination. Irby.com will redirect you there. Your account dashboard and its information will not change other than residing on a new website. Crawford’s site functions exactly as Irby’s, and you will be able to find the parts, resources, and tools you need.
Web Account Password Reset: Your irby.com account information and username will be migrated to crawfordelectricsupply.com. You will be prompted to reset your password the first time you log in to the Crawford site. The process is simple, and you’ll be back online in no time.
INVOICING AND PAYMENTS
New Invoices and Payments
Your invoices will carry the Crawford logo. You will also begin submitting payments to Crawford instead of Irby Electric on that date. Letters will be mailed in the weeks ahead detailing a new remittance address, Tax ID number, a new W-9 form, and other relevant information.
BILLTRUST
BillTrust
BillTrust customers will see the Crawford logo and verbiage in the Invoice Gateway as well as on related forms and documents.
EMAIL ADDRESS UPDATE
Irby’s new email address will end in @crawfordelectricsupply.com. Not to worry. Irby’s customer contacts will receive auto-forwarded emails from their @irby.com accounts for a while. Just be on the lookout for the change so you don’t miss an important message.
