The lighting landscape is forever changing – and so is LuxLive and lightspace. In the absence of a physical LuxLive trade show (postponed to November 2021), this year the Lighting Industry Association (LIA) has launched two new digital events: The LuxLive Digital Kicker UV-C Conference and the LuxLive Digital Festival.
The LuxLive Digital Kicker UV-C Conference will take place on 22 September, and will be focused on the timely and urgent topic of UV-C lighting and its role in helping building managers ensure the highest levels of safety and wellbeing.
From the beginning of the outbreak of Covid-19, the headlines have been filled with reports surrounding the key questions, challenges, and breakthroughs the virus has taken on the globe.
Following countless discussions on methods to treat the virus, the lighting industry noted UV-C lighting as a key player. Overtime, UV-C lighting has proven its ability to control and defend the virus, but has in turn raised important questions around its safety and practicality.
Starting with the basics, lead speaker Ray Molony, with help from other highly knowledgeable industry personnel, will talk you through the current key discussion points surrounding this method of lighting, making sure that by the end of the day’s presentations and discussions, you have gained a greater insight on what promises to be a highly effective weapon against the virus.
Taking place during the original LuxLive dates of 11 and 12 November, the LuxLive Digital Festival will be representing the most ambitious and comprehensive digital education program ever seen in the industry, focusing on a central theme of Health and Wellbeing.
The festival will be made up of four strands with their sessions split over the two days: Emergency Lighting, Smart Lighting, Workplace, and the Lightspace Festival, focusing on lighting in architecture.
In addition to the headline acts, the festival will also offer sponsored keynote presentations as well as case studies and interactive learning.
Furthermore, there will be plenty of opportunities for networking with one-to-one meeting facilities, round table discussions, video presentations, live polling, and Q&A sessions throughout.
The popular Lux Awards will close the festival as it makes its digital debut edition in the award’s celebrated history.
