Osram is among the top 25 of the world’s 100 most sustainable companies for the second year in a row. With this award, the Canadian research company Corporate Knights confirms the sustainability performance of the Munich-based high-tech company once again. In addition to the award announcement, Osram is publishing its sustainability report for fiscal year 2020 today.
Osram remains in the top quarter of the “Global 100 Index“, according to Corporate Knights’ ranking of the 100 most sustainable companies worldwide. The photonics corporation ranks first among German companies. In total, only seven German companies made it into the 100 ranking. Out of approximately 7,400 worldwide companies, Osram ranks 23rd.
According to Corporate Knights, the Global 100 represents the most sustainable one percent of all companies worldwide. “We are delighted about the renewed recognition of our efforts in the area of sustainability and are proud that the jury recognized our constant commitment,” said Osram CFO Kathrin Dahnke. “We are convinced that economic success is closely coupled with good sustainability work in the long term.”
Osram is committed to making its sustainability activities transparent, and therefore, publishes a detailed sustainability report every year. The focus is on how Osram assumes its responsibility along the entire value chain regarding social, economic and business aspects.
