Satco Products, Inc., a leading supplier of LED lighting products for the commercial, residential, and industrial markets today filed two separate patent infringement lawsuits against Signify North America Corp and Signify Netherlands B.V. (Signify) and Seoul Semiconductor Co., Ltd. and Seoul Semiconductor, Inc. (Seoul Semiconductor).

Satco’s lawsuit against Signify was filed in the Western District of Texas in response to Signify’s infringement of U.S. Patent Nos. 9,732,930, 10,344,952 and 10,533,712. The asserted patents are generally directed to light bulbs containing LED filament and Gimbal LED recessed lights.

The lawsuit against Seoul Semiconductor was filed in the Northern District of Georgia as a result of Seoul Semiconductor’s infringement of U.S. Patent Nos. 6,930,332, 8,692,285 and 10,533,712. The asserted patents are directed to multi-junction LED array chips, LED packaging for enhanced light projection, and LED filament.

Satco is represented in both lawsuits by Scott J. Bornstein, Co-Chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Global Intellectual Property and Global Patent Litigation Groups as well as the Co-Managing Shareholder of New York, Nicholas A. Brown, and Joshua L. Raskin, Co-Chair of the New York Intellectual Property & Technology Practice, as well as Robert P. Lynn of Lynn Gartner Dunne, LLP.

“Satco respects the valid intellectual property rights of others and expects that its competitors will do the same,” Bornstein said.
