In this issue of “The Good Stuff,” Lonestar Electric Supply’s Oklahoma City team helped pack 114,624 meals for families facing food insecurity.
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — September 11, 2026 — In recognition of the 25th anniversary of September 11, team members from Lonestar Electric Supply’s Oklahoma City location joined volunteers in a nationwide day of service honoring the victims, survivors, first responders, and service members impacted by the attacks.
The Lonestar team participated in a meal-packing event organized as part of 9/11 Day, helping contribute to a final Oklahoma City total of 114,624 meals packed for families facing food insecurity. The meals will be distributed through Feeding America-affiliated food banks.
The Oklahoma City event was part of a larger nationwide effort spanning 50 cities and bringing together more than 50,000 volunteers with the goal of packing millions of meals for communities across the country.
Founded in 2002, 9/11 Day encourages Americans to observe September 11 through acts of service, carrying forward the spirit of unity and compassion that emerged in the aftermath of the attacks.
For the Lonestar Oklahoma City team, the event provided an opportunity to honor that legacy by giving back to the community.
“We had a great time and will definitely be doing it again next year,” the Lonestar Oklahoma City team shared following the event.
Lonestar is proud of our Oklahoma City teammates for representing our company through service and helping turn a day of remembrance into meaningful action for families in need.
