Fortune recently came out with its 2017 list of the World’s Most Admired Companies.
Among industry competitors in the Wholesalers: Diversified category, Grainger ranks No. 1 for the fourth consecutive year. WESCO came in at No. 2, and Rexel was awarded fifth place.
In the category of Electronics: Panasonic, Emerson, and Royal Philips placed third, sixth, and seventh places, respectively.

Fortune’s list of the World’s Most Admired Companies is the definitive report card on corporate reputations. To determine the best-regarded companies in 51 industries, Korn Ferry Hay Group asked executives, directors, and analysts to rate enterprises in their own industry on nine criteria, from investment value and quality of management and products to social responsibility and ability to attract talent.
“It’s an honor to be recognized again as one of Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies for 2017,” said Grainger Chief Executive Officer, DG Macpherson. “Our energized, talented team members are the key to maintaining Grainger’s reputation with our customers, suppliers, shareholders and industry peers. Thanks to their dedication to anticipating customer needs and delivering great experiences, we continue to be seen as a leader in our industry for helping professionals keep their operations running and their people safe.”
