Confidence among electrical manufacturers, as measured monthly by NEMA, rose dramatically in February. The North American “current conditions” reading of the Electroindustry Business Confidence Index (EBCI) hit 72.5, up 18 points from January. That’s its highest level in more than six years.
Another EBCI indicator, on future conditions, slipped a bit in February—down 4 points—but rested at 75. That’s up dramatically from November, and way above the “50” dividing line between expansion and non-expansion.
