ElectricTV, an internet based video channel created by the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), has launched a new series of videos targeting the work by contractors on green energy solutions.
To highlight the work, ElectricTV went on job sites with the leaders in the green energy movement to find out how IBEW/NECA contractors are working toward green solutions.
During those visits, ElectricTV has gone to large scale solar power installations, seen first-hand the impact of electric vehicle charging stations in our National Parks, and even looked into the little known topic of electrical generation using fuel cells.
Other recent green video features include a variety of topics from how lighting controls can save energy, the installation of solar panels at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland, improving air quality in the Smokey Mountains by using electric charging stations, and a series on LED lighting.
NECA and the IBEW hope ElectricTV will use these stories to help raise awareness of the contributions of the labor groups as well as provide the latest news on current and emerging electrical technology.
