Crescent Electric Supply .Company is acquiring Pittsburgh-based McCullough Electric Company. The transaction is expected to close Aug. 31st.
“Our companies are very much alike — family-owned, respected brands and solid relationships with customers and suppliers,” Marty Burbridge, Crescent Electric president and CEO said in a press release. “It’s seldom that you have an opportunity to bring two companies together with more than 200 years of combined service to the electrical industry and we plan to use our respective strengths to grow the business.”
Crescent, founded in 1919, has a well-established Industrial and automation business in Pittsburgh. The acquisition of McCullough Electric Company will significantly increase the number of customers in the area and create an opportunity for Crescent to expand its footprint in the marketplace, company officials said.
McCullough Electric will operate under the Crescent Electric brand name and from the same location.
McCullough Electric has been in business since 1904.
Two years ago, Crescent Electric, headquartered in East Dubuque, Illinois, purchased three branch locations from Broken Arrow Electric Supply based in Broken Arrow, Okla. The three locations are in Lee’s Summit, Warrensburg, and Warsaw, Mo.
Crescent serves contractors, utilities, institutional, and industrial customers with a broad line of electrical, lighting, automation and datacom products.
