REVCO Lighting + Electrical Supply held a launch party for its new Clean Energy Division on Friday, Oct. 26. Guests enjoyed drinks and hors d’oeuvres as well as the music of Iris Ornig.
The crowd of about 100 people included architects, builders, contractors, local politicians, and environmental advocates.
Representatives from Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) were also on hand to present REVCO with a rebate check for $75,000 towards REVCO’s recent purchase of its own solar photovoltaic system.
Buzz Chew Chevy Cadillac provided a brand new Chevy Volt for the inaugural charge of REVCO’s new electric vehicle charging station and Ross DiLiegro from Urban Green Energy, REVCO’s choice manufacturer of wind energy products, erected a vertical access wind turbine for guests to admire.
Other notable attendees included Southampton Town Supervisor Anna Throne-Holst, Southampton Councilwoman Bridget Fleming, LIPA Vice President of Environmental Affairs Michael J. Deering and LIPA Regional Manager Steve Tricarico as well as representatives from Leviton Manufacturing, Sotheby’s International Realty, The Corcoran Group, Peconic Land Trust, Bridgehampton National Bank, Southampton Dark Skies Committee, AIA Peconic and Group for the East End.
REVCO Lighting + Electrical Supply has been in business for more than 30 years.
