Rexel announced it has reached an agreement to acquire Brohl & Appell, a progressive, independent distributor of automation, electrical, and PVF/HVAC products and services in the Northern Ohio market.
Brohl & Appell expands Rexel’s position in the U.S. as a leading distributor of Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley products and services. Combined with Rexel’s current capabilities in the region, this acquisition strengthens its core automation presence in the Northern Ohio market while offering a springboard to additional growth opportunities with new product and category expansion, new energy efficiency offers, and customer productivity tools and technology.

After completion of the transaction, Brohl & Appell will become a part of the Rexel Automation Solutions business under the direction of Mark Daniel, SVP and GM. Brohl & Appell will be led by Mary Ebert and Neal Ebert, who will continue with the company in their current leadership roles.
The transaction, subject to customary conditions, should close in late February 2016.
