Summit Electric Supply has wrapped up its 2011 Grand Prix tour, a race-themed event that featured several open houses and vendor tradeshows. The open houses were held from September to November in Gonzales, La.; Phoenix, Ariz.; Santa Fe and Farmington, N.M.; and Austin, Dallas, Houston, Corpus Christi, el Paso, La Porte, San Antonio and Clute,Texas.
The events helped raise thousands of dollars for local charities by giving 100% of the proceeds from a silent auction to the charity partner at the event location. Featured charities included The American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency, Share and Care Cockayne Syndrome Network and ECHO Food Bank.
Summit Electric Supply also gave away prizes at the Grand Prix events. Giveaways included 14 ATVs, 16 iPads and more.
