Senator Tom Carper [D-DE] visited United Electric Supply’s headquarters in New Castle, Delware last week. United Electric’s COO/vice president of operations, Bob Crawford, reported that the Senator spent about an hour and half at the facility, meeting and talking with employees. The employees discussed several topics with Senator Carper, including the unique opportunities ESOPs can provide for employees; impacts of the Affordable Care Act; and why the Metal Theft Prevention Act can help curb theft problems within the distribution industry. The hosts also thanked the Senator for his support of the Commercial Building Tax Deduction and asked for his continued support on that issue.
