ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Summit Electric Supply promoted Greg Carpenter to service center leader of its Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico locations. Carpenter has excelled in numerous roles since starting with the company in 1986, and was most recently an account manager at Summit’s Albuquerque service center.
Carpenter began his electrical distribution career working in Albuquerque’s warehouse, then advanced through Summit’s sales career path with positions in counter sales, customer service, project quotations, and automation sales. With his strong sales background and experience developing customer relationships, he soon became one of the company’s top-performing account managers.
“Greg’s commercial knowledge and industry experience will allow him to build on Summit’s success in the Albuquerque and Santa Fe markets,” says Summit’s Southwest Region Vice President, Scott Cogan.
Carpenter says he will continue to build upon Summit’s strong positioning in both markets and focus on growth in residential, commercial, and industrial business. He was promoted to his new position following the retirement of Wiley Shaw, a 34-year veteran of Summit who had been service center leader for the Albuquerque and Santa Fe locations since 1999.
