In a long-running patent infringement dispute between electrical industry competitors Bridgeport Fittings, Inc., and Arlington Industries, Inc., the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit recently affirmed the trial court’s judgment that Bridgeport did not willfully infringe a patent of Arlington Industries’, while also upholding the previous judgment by the Federal District Court in favor of Arlington Industries.
The judgment does not affect Bridgeport’s overall operation nor does it change Bridgeport’s ability to manufacture and sell any of its Whipper-Snap Connector products because Arlington’s ‘050 patent expired in December of 2011.
Bridgeport remains committed to providing the industry with its independently developed and patented alternative snap-in fittings.
Bridgeport Fittings is a supplier of quality fittings to the industrial, commercial and residential channels of the electrical industry.
