ABB has appointed veteran communications professional Chris Shigas as Director of Media Relations, United States. Shigas will be based in ABB’s North American Headquarters in Cary, North Carolina.
Shigas will be responsible for expanding ABB’s media relations in North America and serve as the company’s lead communications spokesperson for North America, working with global teams and business units.
Shigas joins ABB from public relations agency French/West/Vaughan where he was a Senior Vice President working in media relations, corporate communication and crisis communication. His campaigns have earned dozens of national awards including a finalist for PR Week Campaign of the Year and most recently a 2016 Gold Medal for excellence in media relations by Bulldog Reporter. Prior to his agency experience, he was an Emmy award-winning television news producer. Shigas has over 20 years of experience in public relations and broadcast journalism.

Shigas has a degree in communications from the University of Georgia.
