After more than 30 years of experience associated with the electrical industry, Melissa Kidd, Senior Vice President-Sales for Atkore, has announced her plans to retire on July 7, 2025.

Kidd has held her current position at Atkore since 2019, where she has had responsibility for developing commercial programs aligned with company goals that promote sales growth and customer satisfaction, strengthening customer relationships, and enhancing visibility of the Company’s full electrical product portfolio. She initially joined Atkore in 2017 as Vice President and General Manager with responsibility for leading the company’s metal fittings business.

“With more than 30 years’ experience, Melissa brought a strong, diverse skill set to Atkore,” noted Bill Waltz, Atkore President and CEO. “Under her leadership, she instilled a level of excellence that will continue to move the company forward beyond her tenure here. I look forward to continuing working with her until July, and wish her and her family all the best upon her retirement.”

“I thoroughly enjoy working with such a dedicated sales team serving the electrical industry but am ready to spend more time dedicated to family in the next stage of my life. I will truly miss the great friendships I have in this industry and am thankful for the opportunities I have been afforded in this exciting and challenging electrical industry,” Melissa commented.

Waltz noted that the lengthy retirement notice enables the Company to carefully and effectively evaluate its options for succession planning and transition of responsibilities, with a future announcement planned.
