Atlanta Light Bulbs, Inc. announced that Doug Root will serve as the CEO. Founder Gary Root will now serve as president and chairman of the company.
Doug Root moves to the CEO role from his position as director of sales and marketing, where he has worked to transition Atlanta Light Bulbs from a light bulb replacement business to a lighting solutions company.
Headquartered in Tucker, Ga., Atlanta Light Bulbs is a member of the National Association of Independent Lighting Distributors, National Association of Electrical Distributors, and a member of the Cox Family Enterprise Center. The company was incorporated in 1981 and moved into ecommerce in 1998 through its website AtlantaLightBulbs.com.
