Today, we talk with Mo Aminlari, a 2013 honoree.
What is your current position?

What has been the reaction from co-workers and people in the industry to your “30 Under 35” award?
The support and reaction from my co-workers has been outstanding. They are all very happy for me and proud to see that our company is being represented.
What advice would you give young professionals about electrical distribution?
Stay as up to date and current with the industry and the technologies as possible.
What recruiting advice would you give companies when it comes to hiring great, young talent?
Try to appeal to them by showing that you have a Social Media presence.
How important was your mentoring (and reverse mentoring) when it comes to furthering your career?
It was a huge part of my growth. I’ve always had great mentors that pointed me in the right direction. I wouldn’t be where I am now without them.
What advice would you give to company leaders (c-suite) about working with Millennials?
Understand the value of mentoring and coaching them towards their goals.
Also, use technology as a form of communication.
What do you see in the future of electrical distribution when it comes to technology and business practices?
Being in IT, I see our industry continually ramping up technology for automation and lighting products as well as for on-demand training needs of employees in order to continually deliver top notch products and services to our customers.
