CES Opens Branch in Martha’s Vineyard

MARTHA’S VINEYARD, Mass. — Electrical wholesale distributor Concord Electric Supply (CES) recently opened its newest location on the island of Martha’s Vineyard after a year of construction. As the company’s 28th branch in the state of Massachusetts, the Martha’s Vineyard location is only the second location CES currently has on an island.

“I’ve been fortunate enough to work under my dad and several great guys to really learn the trade, which I think helps me now that I’m on this side of the counter,” said Branch Manager Justin Tullock. “The experiences I gained working for him were truly invaluable.”

From working in outside sales at the CES South Dennis location to being promoted to branch manager here in Martha’s Vineyard, Tullock has 15 years of experience in the industry ranging from fieldwork to sales. Familiar with the CES way of quality customer service, he’s prepared to take on the customer base at CES Martha’s Vineyard.

“I feel like I’m pretty familiar with the Cape Cod market having worked in several of our stores in the area,” said Tullock. “I’ve gotten to work with different customers and clientele in the market, so I’m excited to use all of that experience over here.”

Tullock isn’t the only one with experience, with a team that is also ready to serve the community.

“Paulo, our operations manager, actually lived on the island,” said Tullock. “He has a lot of friends and contacts in a lot of industries that we work in. His knowledge is incredible, and he’s been a huge asset to our branch already.”

Starting the building process around a year ago, Martha’s Vineyard is one of the two islands off Cape Cod. Putting a location on the island is already proving to be a great asset with the opportunities the island presents.

“Right off the bat, we’re seeing that there’s a lot of residential lighting packages that we will be able to do,” said Tullock. “We will be able to provide a lot of customized material, take each job as it comes and tailor each residential product to the customer. No two days will be the same, no two orders will be the same, and that’s something I look forward to each day.”

Since opening the doors, the team has celebrated an official grand opening event and set big goals for themselves.

“I’m pretty ambitious about what I want to do on the island. I have big goals for my branch and putting our footprint down on the island,” said Tullock. “This Martha’s Vineyard opportunity is great for our team to make the most out of this location and see how far we can take it.”

“The team that we have at CES Martha’s Vineyard understands our CES culture, and it’s important for our customer base to see that,” said VP of Operations Jaime Marujo. “The company has wanted to put a branch on Martha’s Vineyard for a while now, so seeing it come to life has been really rewarding.”

Goals aside, the CES Martha’s Vineyard team is excited to be on the island to get involved in the community.
