NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas — City Electric Supply is excited to announce a new branch in New Braunfels, a town located between San Antonio and Austin on the I-35 corridor, one of the most well-traveled corridors in the nation. New Braunfels is known as a “river town”—attracting tourists to the Guadalupe River that runs directly through the heart of the area. Many people visit to see the historic Gruene Hall and the state’s largest group of aquifer-fed springs.
Branch Manager Tabor Woolard, who has been with CES for over three years, is excited to take on this new branch location.
“I’ve loved working for CES from the beginning,” said Woolard. “I love meeting new people and trying to break down the barrier from the gate keeper.”
Woolard looks forward to growing his team and making his own decisions for the branch.
“The fun and scary part is that I know I have the people to help me if I need it. With CES, you have the autonomy to run things your way and make bigger calls. I like the responsibility. I like the ability to have more skin in the game by helping put everything together,” said Woolard.
Woolard also mentioned that he has enjoyed his experiences working with upper management.
“I have never worked for a company like this. I have the utmost gratitude for my regional and district managers. Regional Manager Nathan Jefferson absolutely deserves the position he holds, and District Manager John Zertuche is such a valuable asset to my business and CES,” said Woolard. “Both of these guys have helped me through so many situations, and I am forever grateful.”
Woolard and his team are ready and excited to hit the ground running for a company with the core values they support.
“My outside sales rep came from a different distributor and also a family of electrical contractors, so I know his first-hand knowledge and experience is going to go a long way,” said Woolard. “My operations manager was previously a bookkeeper, which will help us in the long run when it comes to moving at a quick and constant pace.”
When the time came to find the perfect location, it wasn’t a hard decision for Woolward; some might even say it was serendipitous.
“The branch is in such a strategic place that District Manager John Zertuche, Regional Manager Nathan Jefferson, and Vice President of Operations Blair Feidler noticed it on their way back from a meeting in Austin. It caught their eye, and immediately they knew it was the perfect place to open.”
The floor plan was perfect for the team. They were able to create several display cases to show their many different vendors.
“The showroom is wide open and not cluttered, which makes everything stand out,” said Woolard.
While the showroom makes this branch unique, Woolard knows it’s the people that will ultimately make them stand out.
“Our people at the branch might not know everything about the electrical industry, but as a team, we can figure anything out,” said Woolard. “Our service puts us leaps and bounds above our competitors.”
Woolard couldn’t help but reiterate that while the branch is set up for success in many ways, much of its success should be attributed to the people around him.
“My personnel will make us successful. We are all willing to go the extra mile to make sure our customers walk out with the answers and supplies they need to get their work done.”
