Houston, TX — Houston is one of the top rankers when it comes to cities experiencing new business growth, according to a recent study from the U.S. Census Bureau. Among Texas metro areas, Houston came out on top. Among U.S. metros classified as large with the most up-and-coming businesses, Houston made the top 10. Electrical wholesale distributor City Electric Supply (CES) has opened its 18th branch in Houston to facilitate budding economic developments.
“Houston is a huge market, and it’s a huge city. This Westchase location is right off the Sam Houston tollway. This is a new area for us to be in, and we’re excited to have this location open to serve more new customers and help out our existing customers with their jobs on this western side of Houston,” said District Manager Daren Thode.
The Houston metro ranks third nationwide in Fortune 500 and fifth in Fortune 1000 companies. The city also has a major footprint in industries, including digital technology, international business, and ports. Houston has a lot of integration with a diverse business sector. A large mix of small businesses, apartment complexes, restaurants, shopping, and more spread throughout the area. CES intends to make an impact in all facets of this market with a branch network 50 locations strong in Texas.
“Opening CES Houston Westchase will help us connect some existing branches in areas nearby. CES Rosenburg is on the west side of Houston, and CES has branch locations in places like Katy and Stafford. CES Katy is about 40 minutes from the Stafford location. This Westchase location is going to plug a hole right in the middle of that route,” Daren explained.
Finding the ideal location to be in, this CES Houston Westchase team got this branch open in less than two months. Taking the building over from a drywall and sheetrock installation company, who did all of the renovations needed in-house for CES to open quickly, and revamped the office spaces for the team.
The Houston Westchase location will be led by Branch Manager Justin Abke, who has over 10 years of sales experience in electrical distribution. The rest of the team at CES Houston Westchase has over 40 years of experience ranging from sales to fieldwork, and they are prepared to serve the market to the best of their ability.
“Our warehouse and counter guy came with us from another CES branch, so he knows how we want to run things at this location,” said Justin. “Our operations manager is a journeyman electrician by trade. He knows what inventory is needed to complete work in this market and knows the specific needs of contractors down here.”
As Houston continues to develop as a metropolitan, the CES Houston Westchase team is looking forward to serving new and existing CES customers with top-quality service.
“We are here to serve our customers, help solve their problems, and make sure they know we are here to help them,” said Justin. “If you’re driving by, make sure to stop by, say hello, and meet the team!”
