City Electric Supply Opens Another Florida Location

MERRITT ISLAND, Fla. — City Electric Supply is thrilled to be opening its first location on Merritt Island. Starting from scratch, the company spent over 15 months building the facility from the ground up. The new branch is 4,000 square feet with an outdoor pipe yard and second-story floor over the offices to hold extra material.

“This location started as an open piece of land. Seeing the branch come to life was extremely rewarding and worth the wait,” said Branch Manager Adel Pacheco. “It’s such a nice store and our team cannot wait to service customers from this location.”

The buildout began last summer, and the team worked together to ensure permits were approved and developments were being completed. Pacheco was involved with the process from the very beginning and would go by the construction site daily.

“I would ride by the location every day to see the progress being made. I would take pictures and call the team to tell them what was going on. We have all been excited about this since day one,” he said.

Pacheco has been with CES for over seven years working at the company’s Melbourne location. Starting at the counter, Pacheco worked his up through positions and now has the opportunity to run the Merritt Island location.

This CES branch is over Hubert Humphrey Bridge and will fill a gap between other CES stores in the area for customers.

“This location is between our Rockledge and Titusville branches. Merritt Island is about 20 minutes away from each of those locations to help customers headed to their jobsites,” said District Manager Joe Petrie. “We are in a spot that is going to help them save time driving, especially if they are working by the beach.”

CES Merritt Island plans to help customers working on jobs closer to the coast as well.

“In order to get to the beach, you have to cross the bridge. In the past, if you needed additional material or to pick something up again, it would cost you time in traffic to drive back over the bridge and get it,” said Petrie. “With Merritt Island now open, new and existing customers won’t have to spend time driving back and forth.”
