SAN ANTONIO, Texas — City Electric Supply (CES) has officially opened for business at a new Texas location, CES San Antonio North. In a location close to 10,000 square feet in size, this branch serves a special purpose: being home to the One Line Service. CES One Line Service has the capability to build high amp main capacity panels in only a couple of weeks. What’s the significance of this? The time it will save for customers.
“CES San Antonio North has the capacity to build 1000-amp main breakers and 1200-amp panel boards in just a few weeks,” said Branch Manager Corey Schade. “Compared to other lead times of 30-52 weeks, this allows our customers to stay on time with their jobsite tasks, from commercial to residential projects.”
San Antonio has multiple transportation projects occurring under the Texas Department of Transportation and developments downtown. Through San Antonio Business Journal Crane Watch, residents can easily track real estate developments planned and under construction in the city.
“This San Antonio North location is in a more centralized location for our One Line. CES needed to put those operations in a bigger location, and this branch provides that space,” said District Manager Tyler Cannon. “This location will help service San Antonio and even start to bridge the gap into Austin.”
CES San Antonio North is just north of the downtown area, less than 10 minutes from the airport near I-35 and other major highways. For eight months, CES searched the area for a potential space. It took the team three months to complete the remodel before opening.
“This building is really close to a lot of major contractors in the area and right off the highway. The space has really tall ceilings, which is great for adding additional racking space,” said Schade. “After knocking out a few walls, the store is ready to go.”
The team at CES San Antonio North includes the One Line service group and seasoned CES team members, totaling 37 years of experience in the industry. This will be the second CES location Corey has worked at. He previously served as the outside sales representative at CES Kyle. He brings with him an additional 12 years of sales experience.
“Counter Salesman Ruben Ortega has more than 15 years of experience in this industry, and he’s worked with CES at the Boerne and Downtown San Antonio branches. Our Sales Representative, Taylor Pivoda, has over 10 years of experience and comes from an operations background,” said Schade. “Our operations manager, CJ Enochs, transferred from a CES branch in Oklahoma.”
The branch recently celebrated its grand opening event, with more than 100 people, from customers to vendors, in attendance.
“CES is excited to have San Antonio North open for customers,” said Regional Manager Nate Jefferson. “Thank you to everyone who attended the grand opening to support this CES location and its team. We are looking forward to serving everyone in San Antonio and beyond!”
