AIRY and LENOIR,
N.C. — City Electric Supply,
a
family–owned
electrical
wholesaler, opened two new branches in North Carolina on Monday, November 30th.
MOUNT
AIRY: City Electric Supply is
continuing
the
family
tradition
in
its
399th
branch
by
placing
a
father–daughter
team
at
the
helm with industry veteran Dale Mayes and daughter Brandy.
Branch
Manager
Dale
Mayes
stated,
“We’re
excited
to
come
in
and
put
the
‘Open’
sign
up
finally!”
Mayes
holds
over
25
years
experience
in
the
industry
and
will
manage
the
branch
with
his
daughter,
Brandy,
serving
as
store
manager.
“Mount
Airy
is
a
great
addition
for
us
in
this
area.
This
is
our
63rd
location
to
open
in
North
Carolina,
and
after
many
months
of
renovation,
it’s
an
exciting
realization
to
open
our
doors
for
business
here,”
Senior
Group
Manager
John
Nantz
said.
The
team
at
this
branch
was
established
in
May
and
is
responsible
for
much
of
the
construction
on
their
new
location. With
two
licensed
electricians
on
the
five–member
team,
the
employees
banded
together
and
handled
all
the
demolition,
electrical,
and
up-fit
themselves.
“We’ve
done
everything
except
the
carpentry
and
plumbing!”
Altogether,
this
team
holds
about
130
years
of
electrical
industry
knowledge.
LENOIR: “We are thrilled to introduce ourselves to Lenoir and really get engaged with our
local community here! Opening a new branch is always exciting, but this
especially is a fantastic addition for the Hickory Group,” Senior Group Manager
John Nantz said.
With nearby branches in Boone, Hickory, and Morganton, the addition of the
Lenoir branch really works to connect a central location.
Group Manager
Cleve Tubbs stated, “This branch will fill a coverage gap in Western North Carolina which the Hickory
group began serving in 2001. Our customers in the area are happy to have a real
local branch now. As we say, ‘local boys doing local business!’”
The Lenoir branch is the 63rd location to open in North Carolina and the 400th
store to open in the US.
Branch Manager Joseph Hawk said, “We are so excited to be here. Our entire team just felt like there was a real
need for another supply house in this area. We are very customer–service
oriented and we can’t wait to get started!”
