San Jose, CA – At the end of May, Craig Kelsey is retiring from his position as Purchasing Manager at Buckles-Smith. Craig has been an integral part of Buckles-Smith; after working with Craig for the past 10 years, Roger Stanger, Buckles-Smith Vice President of Operations, compliments Craig on his contributions to Buckles-Smith and the electrical industry, “He has been a constant professional, an all around good-guy and it has been a genuine pleasure and privilege to work with him.”
Craig has been part of the electrical industry for over 50 years. He was one of three original employees of Electrical Materials Inc. (EMI), established in Palo Alto, California in 1960. By 1967 Craig became a part owner of EMI and then sole owner in 1983.
EMI was an original member of Western Independent Electrical Distributors (WEID). Craig served on the board of WEID as they merged to become IMARK, and then served on IMARK’s board of directors. He also served in several regional NAED positions and on the National Board of NAED.
After 42 years EMI was acquired by Buckles-Smith in San Jose, California in 2002. Craig has spent the last 10 years affiliated with Buckles-Smith.
Craig will be moving to Kansas, to be closer to his family. He is grateful to have been part of the electrical industry and for all the friendships he has made over the years. Craig is looking forward to working on his golf swing.
