Crescent Electric Supply Company is saving money and becoming more efficient with the help of GPS fleet tracking software from GPS Insight.
According to a GPS Insight news release, the company’s software was able to save Crescent’s Salt Lake City branch $4,815 in fuel and reduced mileage by 1,605 miles in just one month.
“The real savings is getting two more years of life out of each of our vehicles. A new extended van costs $47,000,” said Burnett Thackery, warehouse manager at Crescent Electric Supply Company.
GPS Insight said Crescent was able to see the ROI through “more efficient routing, eliminating unauthorized usage, and monitoring maintenance on each vehicle.”
Crescent also saw improved delivery times with GPS Insight. The software lets the company to automatically alert a foreman 10 minutes before a truck arrives, so that the foreman can have employees available to unload the delivery as soon as it arrives on the jobsite.
