DistributED: The David White Exit Interview, Part 2

On March 31, 2024, David White retired as CEO of Border States.

Just a few days before leaving, White agreed to sit down for a one-hour “exit interview” to recap his career and provide his thoughts on electrical distribution.

Part 1 of the exit interview, White discussed the his entry into electrical distribution right out of college, moving from manufacturing to a distributorship, and growing Shealy Electric.

In part 2, White talks about his decision to make Shealy and ESOP, how that led to its merger with Border States, battling COVID four years ago, and his final message to our supply chain.
