Doug Borchers Leaves Electrical Industry

Dickman Supply announced on Monday, November 23 that Doug Borchers would be leaving the industry.

In addition to his work at Dickman, we should point out that during Doug’s career in electrical distribution, he spent time working with the National Association of Electrical Distributors to improve the supply chain.

Borchers was a member of the NAED Board of Directors and the Eastern Region Council, including being named the Vice President of the ERC in the 2008-2009 term. Additionally, Borchers was a member of the LEAD Committee for a number of years, and served at the chairman of the LEAD Committee in 2007.

Borchers also was a tremendous help to tED magazine, serving as a source for news and information as well as being a expert that we used for interviews on many occasions. His work with NAED and tED magazine will certainly be remembered with great respect for years to come.

Today, Tim Geise, president of Dickman Supply, Inc., announced that Dickman Supply’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Doug Borchers, is leaving the industry:

Doug Borchers

It is with regret that I announce that Doug Borchers, Dickman Supply’s long-time Vice President of Sales and Marketing, has chosen to leave us effective January 1, 2016 to become the President of Superior Aluminum Products in Russia, OH.

Since Doug joined this business over 28 years ago with Eaton / Cutler-Hammer as a sales engineer and later as a District Manager, then joined the Dickman Supply team in 1997, he has hired, trained, and coached many electrical industry people to become top performers in their field. He has successfully created and solidified numerous long-lasting partnerships with our customers and key vendor partners for all those years. Both of our companies have benefited from Doug’s ability to figure out win-win solutions for all parties involved. I’m sure you regret him leaving as much as we at Dickman Supply do. It’s certainly a loss to our industry and to our company, but a gain to another. We are sorry to lose someone with the skills and integrity that Doug exhibits every day.

Please join us in wishing Doug nothing but success as he takes on this new challenge in his career. Our industry is forever changed by his influence, and frankly won’t be the same without him.

We kindly request that all of our valued supplier partners who have questions / comments / concerns, or any open business issues that need addressed, please discuss with Tim or Chris Geise at Dickman Supply.
