Earl Severson, Founder of DS Electric Supply, Dies at Age 94

Earl “Mick” B. Severson, 94, of La Crosse, Wisconsin, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015.

In 1960, he was a founder of DS Electric Supply Company, where he was vice president of sales until his retirement in 1982.

He was a La Crosse County Deputy Sheriff for 12 years, and was very community-minded and served on many local and state boards and committees. 

Along with his loving wife, Ione, he leaves behind three daughters and four sons-in-law, Sandy and Kris Severson of Troy, Mo., Barbara and Rich Davis of Onalaska, Nancy and John Stouffer of Englewood, Fla., and Donnie Phillip of Reedsville, Wis.; one brother, Herbert (Donna) Severson; and one sister, Mildred Freng, both of La Crosse; four grandchildren, whom he felt so blessed to have, Danielle (Mike) Tortorice of Fitchburg, Jennifer (Mark) Roth of Yuma, Colo., Brad Davis of Onalaska, and Stephan (Monica) Davis of Sun Prairie; six great-grandchildren; and loving nieces and nephews.
