JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – World Electric Supply, a Sonepar Company, has officially rebranded its acquisition of Electric Supply of Tampa (ESI) under the World Electric Supply brand and combined its operations. In celebration of the rebranding and integration of the Electric Supply branches, a grand re-opening was held on March 13, 2025, at the former ESI Tampa branch, an 83,000-square-foot facility that serves industrial, commercial, residential and OEM customers.
“We are truly excited to welcome Electric Supply into our network,” said Tammy Livers, President of World Electric Supply. “This acquisition allows for us to continue to grow our entire footprint by being able to expand our daily delivery capabilities and add additional counter locations—now more than twenty—to service our walk-in customers. We’ve also gained 220 experienced and knowledgeable associates, making us a team of over 600 associates to better serve Georgia and Florida. We have big plans for growth including a new distribution center in Atlanta this summer and feel confident we have a great team and systems in place to continue to expand. Acquiring Electric Supply was a sound strategic move to accelerate our plans.”

On March 13, customers, vendors and associates celebrated the official integration in Tampa with a vendor show, food trucks, music, and free World Electric Supply swag. The Tampa branch is located at 4407 N. Manhattan Avenue, Tampa, FL 33614 and managed by Matt Coffey, Director of Sales.
Following the acquisition in 2023, Sonepar aligned the electrical contractor business of Electric Supply with World Electric Supply, while the utility segment aligned with Irby, Sonepar’s national utility platform.
