Electrical Wholesalers, HZ Electric Supply Announce Leadership Transition

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. — Electrical Wholesalers (EW) and HZ Electric Supply (HZ), members of the US Electrical Services, Inc. (USESI) family, have announced a significant leadership transition. Region President Mark Osak retired on June 30, 2025, after more than 20 years of dedicated service to the organization and over 30 years of leadership in the electrical distribution industry.

Succeeding him is Dan Wise, who has been appointed Region President of EW and HZ, in addition to continuing his leadership of Monarch Electric Co. and Swift Electrical Supply Company.

Mark Osak: A Career of Growth, Mentorship, and Impact

Osak began his career at GE Supply and joined Electrical Wholesalers in 2004 as an Outside Sales Representative. He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming Vice President of Sales and Marketing in 2007 and Region President in 2021.

Throughout his tenure, Osak led the region through a period of substantial growth, solidifying its position as a market leader in the Northeast. His technical knowledge in switchgear, lighting, controls, and commodities proved instrumental in delivering many of Connecticut’s largest and most complex electrical projects.

Yet, it was Osak’s leadership style—marked by humility, mentorship, and genuine care for people—that left the most lasting impression. Known for his commitment to employee development and creating opportunities for others, Osak’s legacy is one of empowerment and long-term impact. Colleagues across the organization describe him as a mentor, advisor, and friend who helped shape not only the business, but the careers of those around him.

Dan Wise: Building on a Strong Foundation

New Region President Dan Wise brings more than 20 years of experience in electrical distribution, with a career defined by strategic growth, operational excellence, and collaborative leadership. Since 2021, Wise has served as Region President of Monarch Electric Co., another USESI company. Under his leadership, Monarch recently expanded through the acquisition of Swift Electrical Supply Company, which now also operates under his regional oversight.

Wise’s previous roles include:

• Sales Director, Siemens (2011–2021)
• Sales Manager, Mayer (2009–2011)
• Sales Engineer, Eaton (2007–2009)
• Sales Manager, WCI Communities (2004–2006)

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Finance from Florida Gulf Coast University and an MBA in Business Finance from Queens University of Charlotte.

In his new role, Wise aims to enhance operational alignment across the EW/HZ region while fostering greater collaboration across all USESI brands.
