Emerson has been named among America’s Most Responsible Companies by Newsweek and research firm Statista.
Newsweek partnered with global data research firm Statista Inc. to publish the first ranking of America’s Most Responsible Companies. Statista worked from a universe of 2000 public companies to determine which firms were tops when it came to doing good.
Emerson’s ranking involved an assessment of America’s largest companies on a variety of environmental, social, and corporate governance categories. Emerson ranks #22 overall and #1 in the Capital Goods industry category.
Methodology
The analysis was carried out in a 4 phase process, with a pool of over 2,000 companies that were screened by different criteria. The detailed analysis consisted of an independent survey among 6,500 U.S. citizens and research based on publicly available key performance indicators derived from Corporate Annual Reports, CSR Reports, Sustainability Reports, and Corporate Citizenship Reports. The independent survey was administered using an online access panel. The full methodology is available here.
