Emerson and Ensto have signed a cooperation agreement in which Ensto becomes a preferred partner and exclusive subcontractor for Finland, Scandinavia, and the Baltic countries to distribute electrical products under the Appleton, Nelson and SolaHD brands.
Signed by Ensto Electrification President, Fernando Trolia Slamic, and Emerson’s Director of European Operations – Appleton Group, Yves Hofs, the agreement paves the way for both companies to offer an even more comprehensive range of ATEX products and industrial solutions for demanding environments. The product lines included in the agreement are control stations, enclosures, panel boards, plugs and receptacles, as well as LED lighting, fittings and heat tracing systems.
In addition to the explosion protection solutions, the agreement includes the Ensto Tallinn pre-factory audit for the ATX European subcontractor program. Ensto’s Tallinn factory is certified for the final assembly and modification of junction boxes, terminal boxes and control stations for hazardous areas.
“Ensto is a local Nordic player with extensive experience in designing and manufacturing certified ATEX and demanding industrial solutions for both the Nordics and global markets. We look forward to working with Emerson in offering our customers an extensive range of electrical components and equipment for hazardous areas,” Slamic says.
“Emerson has very comprehensive quality targets and was very impressed with Ensto’s state-of-the-art production facilities and the integrated quality system, including the detailed audit reporting and analyses of data. We are very excited about the possibilities that this agreement provides us in the Nordic marketplace,” Hofs states.
