BOSTON—Electric Supply Center (ESC) has added Mark Smith to the company’s Project Lighting unit, which offers lighting product and design recommendations, delivers creative solutions to working within budgets and manages projects from scheduling to vendors.
In his new role, Smith will focus on increasing lighting sales and building the project management and estimating teams.
A thirty-year veteran of the electric supply industry, Smith joined ESC from Northeast Electric, where he worked in sales.
Smith, a native of New Bedford, now resides in Rochester with his wife, Beth and their three children. He attended Plymouth State University in New Hampshire, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business in 1989.
“I’m thrilled to be joining ESC and look forward to working with the team to continue to build new Project Lighting business,” said Smith.
“We are excited about Mark joining the team. His expertise will be invaluable, and we are now positioned to service our project clients at an entirely new level,” said ESC President, Larry LaFreniere. “During the last 9 months, ESC has opened a 135,000 square foot distribution center with the capability to handle, store, modify, and repackage products; added one of the best logistics managers in the industry; and now added one of the best lighting people in the industry. Promises of service are everywhere, but companies need the best teams in place with the right tools and technology to deliver them. We are excited about this next phase of our growth.”
