Harrisburg, N.C. — Galvan Electrical Products has developed a third online training module for professionals involved in the selection, purchase, installation or inspection of ground rod electrodes. The new module, entitled “Ground Rod Specs and Standards”, is available now on the company’s web site, www.galvanelectrical.com.
The purpose of the modules is to provide more information and education on key issues which influence safe grounding practices. They are based on Galvan’s “Safe Grounding” videos, a series of six short videos which each contain several important points related to code compliance, ground rod specifications, factors affecting ground rod life or ground rod installation and inspection.
The first two modules, entitled “Ground Rod Inspection Basics” and “Factors in Ground Rod Selection”, were released in September 2014.
In the test modules, viewers are given the opportunity to watch the appropriate video and to take a short test on the information provided. Explanations are given to help drive home each correct answer. A certificate may be downloaded immediately upon the successful completion of each module. Printed certificates are also available upon request.
