MARION, Ind. – Industry Week has named General Cable a winner in the 2014 North America Best Plants Competition.
The Best Plant Award highlights facilities that have excellence in increasing competitiveness, enhancing customer satisfaction and creating stimulating and rewarding work environments.
“Our employees effectively collaborated to continuously improve performance, particularly in key areas of productivity and safety. This Industry Week Best Plants award affirms their efforts as compared to other manufacturers,” said Greg Lampert, President and CEO of General Cable Americas.
The Marion General Cable plant produces industrial and specialty cables for renewable energy, oil and gas, mining and commercial building markets.
Since 2001, fourteen of General Cable’s plants have been selected as finalists in the competition, including its Indianapolis location in 2007.
