W.W. Grainger, Inc. has released its January 2012 sales results.
The company said its sales increased 17% company-wide in January, compared to January 2011. That number includes a 5% sales gain attributed to acquisitions.
According to a Grainger news release, “Excluding acquisitions, organic sales increased 12 percent, including 12 percentage points from volume and 2 percentage points from price, partially offset by a 1 percentage point decline from both foreign exchange and lower sales of seasonal products.”
In the United States, overall sales increased 11%. Grainger will release its February sales report on March 12.
The company reported sales of $8.1 billion in 2011.
