Hubbell Lighting’s Litecontrol Recognized by State of Massachusetts

Litecontrol, by Hubbell Lighting, was recently recognized as a local leader at the Massachusetts Manufacturing Caucus Awards. The award ceremony took place at the Massachusetts State House in Boston with Lieutenant Governor Karyn E. Polito, Secretary of Housing & Economic Development Jay Ash, Senate President Stanley C. Rosenberg, and House Speaker Robert A. DeLeo.

Litecontrol was commended during the ceremony for contributing to the state’s economy with its strong growth, continued dedication to local charities, and the addition of jobs to the Massachusetts economy.

Formed in August 2014, the Manufacturing Caucus includes more than 60 legislators from around the Commonwealth. Lawmakers focus on training for manufacturing employees, encouraging innovation by helping start-ups access resources, and expanding apprenticeship opportunities in key manufacturing sectors.

“Since 2014 when Hubbell, a world leader in lighting and electrical components, bought Litecontrol, the facility continues to grow,” said State Rep. Tom Calter. “This year, Litecontrol boosted production, adding new products manufactured at this facility.”

“It is an honor for Litecontrol to be recognized by the Commonwealth as a leading manufacturer in the state,” said Brian Golden, vice president and general manager, C&I Lighting at Hubbell Lighting. “This is a testament to the strength of our team in Plympton and the resources that Hubbell has brought to this business.  Litecontrol has emerged as a stronger company as part of the Hubbell family. This is a great opportunity to celebrate as we look to a promising future.”
