IDEA Announces Appointment of Susan Streich to Director, Strategic Accounts

ARLINGTON, VA – The Industry Data Exchange Association, Inc. (IDEA) today announces its appointment of Susan Streich as Director, Strategic Accounts.

Streich was formerly Manager, Wholesale Data Services at IDEA. In her new role as Director, Strategic Accounts, she will focus on managing key manufacturer and distributor business relationships.

“The cost savings that IDEA’s services bring to the electrical channel are clear to me, and I look forward to working with our current customer base to increase the value they receive from IDEA’s offerings,” said Streich. “I’m prepared to help our customers improve the efficiency of their businesses, communicate more clearly with their trading partners, and populate the Industry Data Warehouse (IDW) with the most accurate, complete product data possible.”

Streich brings to the position over a decade of electrical channel experience and more than 25 years’ experience working with product content and product data analysis. Prior to joining IDEA, Streich was integral to Vista Information Services while working at Epicor (formerly Activant Solutions) and spearheaded the market research project in the electrical industry. Among other accomplishments during her tenure as Manager, Wholesale Data Services at IDEA, Streich actively pursued efforts to assist manufacturers in loading product information to the IDW. She also supported the launch of the Data Certification Program and has helped to secure commitment from more than 100 manufacturers to achieve IDW Compliance by October 1, 2015.

Streich has been active in the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) Women in the Industry group for many years and will continue to participate in key industry events.
