Focus on data quality and completeness in 2015; Will support NAED industry events throughout the year.
ARLINGTON, VA – The Industry Data Exchange Association, Inc. (IDEA) today announced that the next E-Biz Forum, the only electrical eBusiness conference, has been rescheduled to June 1-3, 2016 in Orlando, FL.
The event has been moved from September 2015 to June 2016 to allow focus on data quality and completeness within the Data Certification Program in 2015. In lieu of this year’s Forum, IDEA will support several NAED industry events throughout the year.
“2014 was a transition year for IDEA, as we welcomed a new CEO and launched the Data Certification Program,” said IDEA Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Mike Wentz. “We want to continue this momentum in 2015 by concentrating on the high-quality data this industry needs for day-to-day business.”
IDEA will also provide further industry support in 2015 through participation at upcoming NAED events, including NAED’s new Technology Boot Camp that will take place in Chicago this year from August 12-14. At these events, IDEA will act as an eCommerce and data resource for attendees, allowing industry members to ask questions and get answers, have face-to-face discussions, and share ideas with each other and with IDEA.
The IDEA E-Biz Forum, an educational event with a mix of general sessions, breakout sessions, and a technology exhibition, will be structured to refocus and extend IDEA’s vision of an efficient, knowledgeable, and eCommerce-focused electrical channel.
“The Forum should be an environment where industry members can learn how to utilize the latest eBusiness advancements to improve their operations,” said IDEA President and CEO, Paul Molitor. “Our goal is to use our competencies and expertise as an organization to improve the electrical channel, in part through education, networking, and extending the reach of eBusiness to new audiences.”
Those interested in attending the 2016 E-Biz Forum can expect more details toward the end of 2015 regarding agenda, sponsorship, and registration information.
“We are confident that the Data Certification Program will move us toward our mission of becoming a single source of complete, high-quality data for our industry throughout 2015,” said Molitor. “In 2016, the restructured E-Biz Forum will be aligned with that progress.”
