CINCINNATI, Ohio, and DESTIN, Fla. — ILSCO announced the purchase of Surge Suppression Incorporated (SSI), a supplier of Surge Protection Devices (SPDs). This acquisition positions ILSCO to provide more complete solutions to customers’ electrical needs.
Andrew Quinn, ILSCO’s President, sees SSI as a strategic addition to the company’s portfolio. “Over-voltage protection is a logical next step in our company’s strategy to broaden our electrical solution offering to the marketplace,” said Quinn. “SSI brings a strong history of innovation and safety along with the broadest range of SPD solutions in the market today. SSI’s products represent a perfect complement to ILSCO’s ever-expanding line of grounding and bonding connectors.”
SSI’s President Rich Hotchkiss sees SSI joining the ILSCO family of companies as a major benefit to their plans to increase visibility in electrical distribution. “The ILSCO brand is one of the best known in the electrical industry,” Hotchkiss noted. “We are pleased to be associated with a company that has such a rich electrical history and reputation. We feel the SSI product offering will dovetail nicely with ILSCO’s.”
